TRADITIONAL CHINESE MEDICINE (TCM)

Ancient Chinese medicine has been around for thousands of years, and it is still extensively utilized today, not just in China but all around the world. Traditional Chinese medicine is based on the physiology and pathology of the human body, and these two aspects are heavily stressed. The first is a comprehensive perspective, and the second is the therapy of the recognized reasons. Traditional Chinese medicine has been shown to alleviate the adverse effects of prescription drugs and medical therapies such as chemotherapy and successfully cure a variety of chronic conditions. This form of traditional eastern medicine has also been effective in treating common diseases such as the common cold. The following are some of the factors that support these conclusions. Traditional Chinese medicine treats diseases more naturally. Traditional Chinese medicine practitioners work not only on detecting the etiology of a disease but also on assisting the patient in dealing with outside, sometimes environmental, issues that may be contributing to the beginning of the illness.

What is the purpose of traditional Chinese medicine?

Some people use traditional Chinese medicine to treat conditions as far wide ranging as asthma and allergies to digestion and infertility. To restore qi balance, traditional Chinese medicine practitioners may employ a variety of treatments. Some Traditional Chinese Medicine remedies include the following: Acupuncture, which involves inserting tiny metal needles into the body’s meridians. Acupressure is direct pressure to spots along the body’s meridians using the hands or fingers. Chinese herbs, herbal mixtures, roots, powders, or animal ingredients are used to assist and restore equilibrium in the body. Cupping is a technique that employs heated or cool air in glass jars to generate suction that is then applied to regions of the body to promote qi. Diet. Yin and yang meals can help restore the body’s yin-yang equilibrium. Massage (tui na) on specific body parts or along the body’s meridians. Moxibustion is a method that involves applying small quantities of heated plant fiber(moxa, or Chinese mug wort) to particular regions of the body. Qi gong is a kind of Chinese martial arts that incorporates movement, breathing exercises, and meditation.

Western doctors’ studies have proven that over one hundred of the seven hundred various herbal medicines used in traditional Chinese medicine are effective in treating diseases by Western medicine criteria. Many of these herbal treatments are extremely successful in treating antibiotic-resistant diseases. These discoveries will come as a huge comfort to people who suffer from persistent infections and have not found relief from prescribed medicines. Because traditional Chinese medicine treats common illnesses more holistically, individuals suffering from a variety of conditions can be treated without worrying about the negative effects of over-the-counter and prescription drugs. Individuals can recover from common diseases more quickly since they don’t have to worry so much about side effects like nausea and sleepiness. Those suffering from common ailments appreciate that traditional Chinese medical therapies are frequently less expensive than medical treatments provided by Western specialists. Most oriental medical therapies performed by Chinese medical experts can also be employed with western medical treatments, with extremely favorable outcomes.
